Autism Spotlight

For families raising a child on the autism spectrum, gaining access to quality, evidence-based services can have a profound life-changing effect.

Now for families in the St. Clair Shores area, access to such services will be dramatically improving with the opening of Lumen Pediatric Therapy, an autism services provider offering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language services to individuals between the ages of 2-18.

Each of these core services centers around teaching skills aimed at promoting communication, independence, and developing meaningful relationships and life skills which extend from the classroom to the community.

To members of Lumen Pediatric Therapy, their mission is one of deeply held personal belief.

“As a father of four young children, I think about the type of environment I would like for my own child to grow in – and that’s the type of environment we’re creating at Lumen,” says Brian Kaminski, MA, BCBA, LBA, Vice President of Clinical Services.

“We are striving to provide a premium service – meaning we are committed to taking better care of our families, children, and team members better than anywhere else.”

By creating such an environment, he believes in elevating the standards of care for autism services and the families they impact.

“When a child walks into our clinic, I want this to be a place filled with joy where they can fully express themselves and be supported by people who care deeply about their growth and development.”
